Apprenticeships Details
STRONGER STARTS MAINTENANCE APPRENTICESHIPS
With our Stronger Starts Maintenance Apprenticeship, you’ll work alongside earning a Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative qualification – equivalent to 5 GCSE passes.
Our 18-month programme sets you up with the skills you need for everyday duties in maintenance jobs.
You’ll have opportunities to learn from your programme manager, mentor, buddy, and colleagues, as well as paid time out to study towards your qualification. We’re here to help every step of the way.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in understanding and application of maintenance in electrical systems, plumbing, safety systems, and equipment essential to the maintenance of our stores. If you don’t already have Maths and English GCSEs (or equivalent), you’ll work towards these Functional Skills qualifications.
What you need: No qualifications required. Driving licence desirable, but not essential.

STRONGER STARTS RETAIL APPRENTICESHIPS
We wouldn’t exist without our stores and you could join one of our hard-working teams.
With our Stronger Starts Retail Apprenticeship, you will work in our stores while gaining a Level 2 National Standard in Retail qualification. You could even become a Shift Leader at the end of your 12-month apprenticeship (length will depend on your contracted hours).
Our minimum 12 month programme will give you hands-on experience of how stores operate and see how different departments work together to keep things running smoothly. This will help you develop essential teamwork and communication skills while understanding the day-to-day operations of a busy retail environment.
You’ll also complete digital learning modules on topics such as business operations, marketing, and retail technology. If you don’t already have Maths and English GCSEs (or equivalent), you’ll work towards Functional Skills qualifications.
What you need: No qualifications required
Starting salary of £23,662.08 (Pro rata)

DEVELOP NEW SKILLS
Whether you choose a retail or maintenance apprenticeship, you’ll gain knowledge, learn new skills and the chance to grow personally, too, helping you in your future career.
STUDY TOWARDS SUCCESS
You’ll be working on live projects, whether you’re supporting in-store or getting stuck in and working as a team, you’ll gain professional experience, along with the confidence to voice your own ideas and opinions.
As well as advice and training from your programme manager, mentor, buddy, and team colleagues, you’ll also get paid time out to study. That means, once you’ve completed your apprenticeship, you’ll have the knowledge, skills, and experience.
HELP TO COMPLETE YOUR LEARNING
As part of your apprenticeship, you will receive a device to complete your learning and deliver the off-the-job hours.
