Genie Connect: Accelerating Action – Aligning apprenticeships with the Youth Guarantee

Workshop 1 will examine the latest policy developments and how apprenticeship reforms align with Youth Guarantee ambitions. We’ll explore practical steps employers can take to maximise existing apprenticeship plans, including insights from the Retail sector’s commitment to 100,000 work‑experience opportunities and examples of place‑based approaches. Participants will also hear how organisation‑wide ambitions can strengthen youth engagement and hear insights from the latest Sutton Trust research into boosting apprenticeship achievement rates. Together, we’ll identify opportunities to build collaborative approaches with DWP to accelerate youth employment over the next 12 months.
