Genie Connect: Developing pathways for underrepresented groups

Workshop 2 will explore how employers can design and deliver apprenticeship pathways that better support underrepresented young people, including those who are care-experienced, with learning differences or disabilities, criminal justice-experienced and those facing socio-economic disadvantage. Drawing on employer insights and examples of emerging best practice, participants will examine what works in widening participation, improving accessibility and strengthening wraparound support. The session will consider the role of targeted outreach, inclusive recruitment, tailored onboarding and sustained pastoral support.
