All students have access to Unifrog, our all‑in‑one careers platform.

Tutorial Programme
Careers education is delivered weekly through the tutor programme. Sessions include:
- Understanding apprenticeship levels and sectors
- Application guidance
- Labour market awareness and next-step planning
Subject-Led Career Activities
Departments enrich learning with:

- Workplace visits and employer-led workshops

Careers Mornings (March & June)
A carousel of employer talks, skills workshops, and teacher-led sessions covering everything from building a CV to career exploration.
Careers Fair (June)
Our annual University and Apprenticeship Fair brings together approximately 100 exhibitors, giving students the chance to speak directly with apprenticeship providers, universities, and industry professionals. Students can also choose from a number of guest speaker sessions.

National Apprenticeship Show Trip

Apprenticeship Masterclass
In partnership with leading employers, we deliver two valuable Apprenticeship Masterclass opportunities, which include:
- Understanding the assessment centre process
- Practice assessment centre exercises
- Tips from recruiters on standing out
- This is followed by a second dedicated practice session to help students prepare for real recruitment tasks.
Mock Interviews
Our careers team, with support from local employers, provides students with the opportunity to experience real-world mock interviews, receive personalised feedback, and improve their confidence before attending actual apprenticeship interviews.

Excellence Programme – Apprenticeships
Our Excellence Programme supports highly aspirational students applying for competitive higher and degree apprenticeships. Running from January to December students meet weekly to develop their skillset and prepare for the world of apprenticeships.
