Employer and Education/Training Provider Prospectus – Featherstone High School
January 15, 2026
At Featherstone High School, we created an Employer & Education/Training Provider Prospectus which clearly outlines the key careers events planned for the current academic year.
The prospectus was created to streamline communication with multiple employers, reducing the number of individual emails while providing a simple, comprehensive overview of opportunities for engagement. Featured activities include Arts Week, Science Week, National Apprenticeship Week, and Business Ambassador talks across different year groups.
The prospectus has become a versatile and highly effective tool in the following ways:
Showcasing provision to prospective families: Printed copies are shared with Year 6 parents during the September Open Evening. This not only highlights the school’s careers offer but has also successfully attracted new employer partners.
Visibility for visitors: Additional printed copies are displayed in Reception for guests to browse while waiting for appointments.
Supporting local partnership work: Our Enterprise Coordinator holds an electronic version, enabling them to share it widely through their networks.
Streamlining employer meetings: The prospectus is sent to employers in advance of scheduled discussions, ensuring meetings are more focused and productive.
Upselling opportunities: Employers often commit to more activities than originally planned once they see the full range of options and many share the document with their own contacts.
Easy access on the go: The Careers Leader keeps a digital copy on their phone, making it simple to share information and contact details at conferences and other settings.
