Positive Partnerships – Creating Tomorrow Partnership

May 27, 2025

Iron Mountain are a global leader in storage and information management services and in 2023, an article highlighting their new mega hub in Lutterworth sparked a conversation that grew into a pioneering partnership with Creating Tomorrow. From that moment, a shared vision took shape: to redefine inclusive education and unlock meaningful employment opportunities for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

With full support from across Iron Mountain, the Lutterworth site is now home to a purpose-built campus  – a first-of-its-kind setting where education meets employment. Operated by Creating Tomorrow and supported by a campus leader and job coaches, learners are immersed in a real working environment and welcomed as valued members of the Iron Mountain family. This isn’t just about work experience  – it’s about transformation. Iron Mountain’s commitment to disability confidence training and inclusive practice sets a new benchmark for employer engagement. The result is a dynamic programme that supports learners to bridge the gap between education and employment through meaningful work placements, supported internships, and hopefully an inclusive apprenticeship pathway.

This is the first year of the programme, and already it is opening doors learners didn’t know existed. For many, it’s the first step towards a career in logistics, and crucially, towards sustained paid employment. What makes this partnership special is its authenticity. Rooted in mutual respect and a desire to do things differently, it shows what’s possible when education and industry work together with purpose. It doesn’t just prepare young people for the future—it empowers them to shape it.
