Showcasing Apprenticeships – Esher Sixth Form College
December 15, 2025
Degree Apprenticeship Fair
Esher Sixth Form College, in association with Godalming College, hosted a FREE Higher & Degree Apprenticeships Fair for Year 12 and Year 13 students and their parents/carers. The fair provided a fantastic opportunity for attendees to meet with over 35 employers who offered alternative progression routes to traditional university study, often covering qualification fees and providing a salary. Alongside the fair, students also had the chance to attend talks delivered by:
- Esher Sixth Form College Apprentice Alumni
- ALPS (apprenticeship application experts)
- Industry experts from the legal field, the armed services, and the banking and finance sector
- University apprenticeship providers
Apprenticeship Information Evening
As part of National Apprenticeship Week, we hosted a live webinar for 150 students and parents, featuring apprenticeship experts and three Esher alumni who had successfully pursued apprenticeship pathways.
Apprenticeships offered an excellent alternative to the traditional university route, enabling students to gain valuable work experience and a qualification without the burden of student debt.
The talks gave students the opportunity to explore a variety of apprenticeship options and hear firsthand experiences from our Esher alumni.
Speakers included:
- Sue Taylor, Apprenticeship expert from the ALPS Partnership
- Orla Harper from InvestIn, provider of immersive career experiences for young people
- Luna McCann-Matsusaka (松坂) from Sage (Esher Alumni, Class of 2016)
- Maisie Lawler from Procter & Gamble (Esher Alumni, Class of 2018)
- Abbie Sheehan from Mondelēz International (Esher Alumni, Class of 2021)
The talk can be viewed here.
Looking Ahead
In 2026, our Higher Education and Apprenticeship fair will feature universities, colleges, and apprenticeship providers, giving our students and their parents the opportunity to explore an even wider range of future pathways.
