The Working World of Digital/Engineering – London Design & Engineering UTC

May 25, 2025

Year 12 engineering and digital learners participated in great employer projects set to stretch their knowledge and build their confidence. Learners in year 12, who had never worked within the digital world, completed a great project with a leading employer to create 2D / 3D animations to show at the BETT show and present to hundreds of visitors to the show. Additionally, the engineering T Level learners in year 12 have had multiple experiences to develop their knowledge and behaviours to become future engineers with skills to help fill the skills shortage. This first year culminated in a visit to the Williams F1 STEM day. These are great experiences that continue to prove that employers, at the heart of education, can make a huge contribution to the life chances of our learners. Our embedded learning model builds confident, capable young people ready to move on to their next steps.
