Y13 successful applicants supporting Y12 aspiring apprentices! – Wirral Grammar School for Boys

This year, we celebrated a number of Year 13 students securing degree apprenticeship offers with prestigious employers including Bentley Motors, Airbus and Leonardo.

As part of our Year 12 Apprenticeship Support Programme, we hosted a Q&A session with two successful Year 13 students: Will (Rolls Royce) and Scott (Sellafield). Drawing on their own experiences, they provided valuable insight into the apprenticeship application process, reflected on mistakes they made along the way, and shared practical advice and top tips with our Year 12 cohort.

The session was both inspiring and impactful. Students engaged enthusiastically, asking thoughtful questions and gaining a clearer understanding of the opportunities available through degree apprenticeships. Hearing first-hand accounts of success from Will and Scott motivated many students to pursue similar pathways and approach their own applications with greater confidence and ambition.
