Apprenticeships Details
Corporate Degree Apprenticeship
Our Corporate Degree Apprenticeship involves spending 3-years rotating between teams at Hilmore House, where decisions are made, our business grows and teams make a real difference to our customers every day. You’ll make an impact on our business through a variety of exciting live business projects. You’ll progress through a series of placements before choosing one area to specialise in during the final year, in areas such as:
- Wholesale
- Procurement
- Online
- Marketing
You’ll work towards a degree while preparing for a brilliant career within our outstanding food retail business!
As well as learning on-the-job, you’ll also be studying towards a BSc (Hons) Retail & Business Management Degree Apprenticeship at the University of Bradford. Balancing work and a degree course will be challenging. To support your learning, we’ll offer study leave to complete university work stress free. At the end of the 3-year scheme, you’ll have the skills, knowledge and experience to continue building a successful career at Morrisons
What you need to join us
Recently achieved or being predicted a minimum of 112 UCAS points and having achieved GCSE Grade 4 in Maths and English are needed for this programme. We’d love to see strong adaptability in successful candidates to ensure you can be flexible to meet the changing needs of our business. Other key attributes we’d like to see include:

Finance Apprenticeship
Our 2-year Finance Apprenticeship offers the opportunity to join our finance teams at Hilmore House, where you’ll experience a real buzz as we make big decisions, grow our business and keep millions of customers happy. You’ll play an important role in helping the business deliver our priorities and build a stronger Morrisons.
You’ll work alongside Financial Accountants and Managers, while working towards a professional qualification. You’ll experience a variety of financial teams and learn how to:
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Generate accruals, prepayments and adjustments
- Assist with financial reporting and help to improve our processes and procedures
While working with us, you’ll also be studying towards a Professional Accounting Technician apprenticeship (Level 4 CIMA qualification) at Kaplan in Leeds. Once you’ve completed your Level 4 qualification, you have the opportunity to continue your apprenticeship to an advanced Level 7 with rotations through finance, giving you the skills and experience you need to enjoy a rewarding career as an accountant.
What you need to join us
To join this programme, you will have recently achieved or be predicted three B’s at A-level, or equivalent, and GCSE Grade 4 in Maths and English. Our Finance Apprentices will work within a big team, so great communication, listening and collaborative skills are key. Other qualities we’re looking for include:
- Analytical thinking with plenty of common sense
- Ability to solve problems
- Thrives in an exciting, fast-paced environment
- A full UK driving licence
Manufacturing Degree Apprenticeship
At Myton Food Group, we have a legacy to be proud of. We’re the 2nd largest food manufacturer in the UK, and we’re passionate about the quality of our food. Today, we have 18 manufacturing sites across the UK, where we pack and process fresh meats and fish, savoury and sweet pies, fruit and veg, flower bouquets and lots more.
We really do stand out in the world of food manufacturing. But what we’re especially proud of is the way we all get stuck in and work as a team!
Join us as a Manufacturing Degree Apprentice on our 3-year programme and work across a variety of manufacturing teams to gain an understanding of equipment, processes and technologies. Gain hands-on experience with exciting live projects, learning from skilled team members from all areas of the site. Day-to-day tasks that you will be responsible for could include:
- Running production lines and leading our production teams
- Providing support at our Flowerworld site at peak trading times, such as Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day
- Finding solutions to improve the efficiency of production lines through exciting live business projects
As well as learning on-the-job, you’ll also be studying towards a BSc (Hons) Retail & Business Management Degree Apprenticeship at the University of Bradford. Balancing work and a degree course will be challenging, so to support your learning, we’ll offer study leave to complete university work stress-free. At the end of the 3-year scheme, Apprentices could be prepared for a Shift or Department Manager role on one of our manufacturing sites.
What you need to join us

Food Technical Degree Apprenticeship
As a Food Technical Degree Apprentice, you’ll play a huge part in making sure people can get the food they need while helping us maintain the highest standards of Food Safety, Food Quality and Legality across our manufacturing sites.
You’ll spend 3-years rotating between teams in our Food Technology function, developing new skills and working towards a degree while preparing for a brilliant career within our unique food retail business.
Responsibilities you could take on during the scheme include:
- Providing support at our Flowerworld manufacturing site at peak trading times, such as Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day
- Working closely with production teams to understand how production lines run and the impact they make across our business
- Working with our Technical Systems Manager to understand product specifications, write procedures and develop existing systems
As well as learning on-the-job, you’ll also be studying towards a BSc (Hons) Professional Practice in Food Technology Management at Sheffield Hallam University. Balancing work and a degree course will be challenging. To support your learning, we’ll offer study leave to complete university work stress-free.
This role involves early starts, late finishes, night shifts and working weekends and Bank Holidays. Some placements may be shift-based, particularly during peak trading periods. It’s hard work for sure. But it’s also very rewarding. Every day is different, and we’ll support you every step of the way.
What you need to join us
Recently achieved or predicted a minimum of 96 UCAS points and having achieved GCSE Grade 4 in Maths and English, are needed for this programme. Ideally, you’ll also have studied Food Technology or a science-based subject at A Level. Sitting at the heart of our business, it’s important you’re comfortable making decisions and can work well in a team. Our Food Technical Degree Apprentices also need a few key attributes to succeed, which include:

- Flexibility to meet changing needs
- A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel between our locations
