Genie Connect roundtables launch with inspiring conversations on Level 2 and Level 3 apprenticeships
October 06, 2025
Last week, Amazing Apprenticeships launched the Genie Connect employer roundtables, aiming to explore how we can work collectively to increase Level 2 and Level 3 apprenticeship opportunities for young people across England. The roadshow kicked off in Leeds and Birmingham with two insightful sessions that have inspired us for what’s to come across the remaining events.
13 large and macro employers were represented across these small-group, solution-focussed sessions, where employers and partners exchanged ideas, shared challenges and explored best practice in designing and scaling Level 2 and Level 3 apprenticeships programmes.
We were delighted to hear from Champion speakers from BAE Systems, Specsavers and Storal, who generously shared their experiences, lessons learned and practical advice in delivering high-quality apprenticeships at Level 2 and Level 3.
Feedback from an employer following the Leeds roundtable shared
“We saw immense value in the session today, the discussions and ideas in the room were fantastic and BAE’s proposition was extremely inspiring. Our learnings today will really help us to start to form our own strategy in the recruitment of Level 2/Level 3 apprentices which we hope to get over the line.”
Anna Morrison, Director and Founder of Amazing Apprenticeships commented
“We are delighted to have met so many supportive employers this past week who are contributing to, and leading, the conversation around offering more Level 2 and Level 3 opportunities for young people. The insights shared have already been instrumental in helping us to shape a programme of support in the new year to collectively help more large employers to innovate and expand their offers. Thank you to our amazing Champions and all attendees so far for their brilliant contributions. We can’t wait for the next sessions.”
Join us in London, Bristol or Liverpool
We still have spaces available for London, Bristol and Liverpool roundtables this month, as well as online sessions through November. These are excellent opportunities for large employers (whether you currently offer Level 2 and Level 3 apprenticeships, are considering them for the first time or would like to innovate your programmes) to:
- Contribute your insights
- Hear directly from other employers
- Co-design new approaches to expand opportunities
Upcoming sessions will feature National Trust, Howdens and additional Champion employers who will share their strategies and learnings.
