Hertfordshire families HOP Into Apprenticeships and T Levels!

February 11, 2026

More than 500 parents, carers and young people have spoken with local Hertfordshire training providers and employers to explore their post-16 choices. Through this unique event, families were able to speak with companies such as Warner Bros. Discovery, Tesco and BAM UK to understand more about the apprenticeships and T Levels that they offer.

Amazing Apprenticeships and the Hertfordshire Careers Hub hosted the fourth HOP into Apprenticeships and T Levels Virtual Careers Event on 21 January 2026.

The evening brought together 30 exhibitors from a wide range of industries and training providers  who showcased their programmes, shared success stories and answered questions directly from families.

Designed for parents and carers of students in Years 9 to 13, the event featured a series of employer‑led sessions that broke down the essentials, how apprenticeships work, what T Levels involve and the breadth of opportunities available across Hertfordshire.

Families logged in for an evening packed with insight, inspiration and practical guidance. Every ten minutes, attendees could choose from a range of employer or training‑provider breakout rooms to explore programmes spanning agriculture, environmental and animal care, care services, construction, engineering, health and science, finance, retail and many more sectors.

The response was remarkable, with more than 500 parents, carers, students and teachers joining the live event. Families said they valued hearing directly from employers and discovering options they hadn’t previously considered. For many, these conversations were the highlight of the night, offering clarity and confidence as they support young people in planning their next steps.

The event marked a significant milestone in Hertfordshire’s ongoing mission to empower young people with clear, accessible information about their future pathways. With such strong engagement and enthusiasm, the momentum behind apprenticeships and T Levels in the region continues to grow.
